Autumn outfits

I've been doing lots of shopping lately!

I go back to college in a week, so I'm trying to find outfits that are both appropriate for college, as well as good for just casual things like going shopping, chilling with friends, etc.

So; when I was in London, I bought a pair of Hollister jeans, these were in a very Autumn colour of Burgundy (which I love at the moment.) I also bought a white lace top. Lace is very in fashion at the moment. Many people are wearing Laces with a contrasting coloured top underneath, or even a bandeau. While I'm not a very big fan of the Bandeau look, I like the idea of contrasting colours, so I wear my white lace with a navy top underneath, or something similar!
But my favourites of this month, are the pictures above. The blazer, is sort of like a farmer, tweed style, and has contrasting coloured elbow pads, which I find very cute. This is being matched with a burgundy cord skirt, which looks cute with a pair of woollen tights, that match with the elbow padded shirt, topped of with the blazer, this makes a cute college/casual look.

Next month I'm going to be looking around for my winter coat. I'm hoping to be going for a basic coat, potentially with elbow pads, as I'm looking that look at the moment. The one I've got my eye on does just that!

Happy Autumn, bloggers!

Curly hair problem #1

When someone asks... "is it natural?".

No, of course it isn't, everyday I wake up and spend half my day curling each individual ringlet.

I mean, really?!?

These were my summer nails for when I went to Cornwall;

I used a barry M nail polishes for both colours. The main colour is a really light sky blue, and the ring finger is a darker barry M blue. The flower was bought from a nail art website (will later provide) Where you can purchase nail art 'canes' each have their own pattern, and come with a cutter, so that you can cut of a 3D flower of your own size.

Cooking tea,

I'm currently getting ready to go out and buy the ingredients for tonights tea. I don't really enjoy cooking meal to much, probably because I get conscious it isn't done right, or perhaps just because I prefer my mums cooking. But being on my own today, I have no choice.

So I decided to go for the thing I feel most comfortable cooking; Spaghetti bolognese. Oh god. I've been reseaching the best recipe all morning. Then trying to work out how much of everything we need to buy most of the stupid recipes were either in America cup measurements, or serving 6! we're fat... but not that fat!

I settled with;
Olive oil (steal housemates, shh ;))
Bacon (I'll buy a pack then eat the rest for breaky! )
1 onion (I don't know how to justify this)
2 carrots (1 each? I dunno)
1 celery (they're quite long, and I don't even like it)
Lean minced beef (1kg - the website said so).
Chopped tomato (1 can 400g - ditto)
Bay leaves (I'll skip this part :D)
Dried tagliatelle (why does it have to be dry? 1 pack?)
CHEESE! (all say parmesan, but I don't like that, so I'll buy normal cheese, then eat it with my left over bacon, yumm).

I'll let you know how it goes!

Dear, followers

I'm writing my second blogspot post, from London!
So I have mentioned in my blog description, that many of my post will be about Travel and Tourism, Travel in general, London Tails, and then the rest. Well today is a mixture of a personal, travel, and a 'London tails' post

  • I'm in London for this week, I came on Saturday, and will be leaving this coming Saturday. So I am visiting this time to see my boyfriend, Jamie. He lives in the hammersmith area of White city. This is his first house here, so nothing spectacular to be expected. But the area is very nice, it is central so we can get access easily to everywhere, it is home to one of the best shopping centres "west field", and in it's self has many nice areas.
  • So far; I have visited Regents Park - This is one of my favourite royal parks, there is always something going on. This visit, there was a dog show/photo shoot for boxer dogs, and there was also a temporary tango class/picnic. Both very amusing to watch.
  • I've been to Oxford street (no description needed), The West Field, and yesterday I went to Hampstead Heath with Jamie, I recommend this to everyone, it is the most beautiful area (I'd love to live there) and the Hampstead heath is spectacular, it is a mixture of open space, nature, and woodland areas. When you're there, you truly would not believe it would be London.
Today when I went to visit the White city, West field. I didn't have tooooo much money on me, as I don't get paid till Thursday, and wanted to save my money for tomorrow as I'm going to the V&A museum. BUT I did go into my favourite store (Gilly Hicks) and pick up a cute bra and matching undies set (undies free with every bra if you sign to the mailing list). But more importantly, I got a new Travel Journal. My main Travel Journal is so beautiful, and very special, it is from the East of Africa collection, and I will be putting a lot of attention and care in to it, as opposed to just scribbling notes, so I needed one for exactly that...Scribbling notes. So I bought one from Paperchase. It is called "Skyline kraft journal". This too is super cute, not as nice as my special travel journal, but perfect for scribbling in some notes!

New to Blogspot!

Hello Blogspot!

So I am new to the world of blogspot, and literally am clueless as to how to use this website. I'm used to using my Tumblr account, which seems awfully different to the likes of this!

But I am sure I will adjust!

To introduce myself; Hello, I am Claire! I will be blogging about all things that interest and occur in my life, from the tails of London city trips, to the downs of teenage stressing! Most of this blog will potentially consist of Fashion, Travel, and Photography. But I'm partial to the regular change, so I'm sure you'll see a lot more!

Hopefully I'll actually find life on this blog within the near future ... when I know how to use it!
